SFDR and ESG policy

The European Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) became applicable on March 10, 2021. This regulation emerged from the EU action plan for sustainable growth and is part of wider efforts at European level to make the financial sector more sustainable. It requires financial companies to disclose information about the way they consider sustainability aspects when investing (also called ‘ESG’; Environmental, Social and Governance aspects). The Brand Capital Fund aims to avoid controversial investments by applying Responsible Investment criteria. We employ a company exclusion list, as published quarterly by the Norwegian Government Pension Fund – the leading, sovereign wealth fund, and signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investing (UN-PRI).
